Privacy Policy
How Clean Up Space handles your photos, contacts and calendar.

Who we are
Clean Up Space is published by Maria Luisa Baron. Questions about this policy: baronmarialuisa93@gmail.com. This policy covers the Clean Up Space iOS app and these web pages.
Your photos stay on your device
Clean Up Space asks for access to your photo library to find duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, blurry photos, Live Photos and large videos. All analysis happens on your device: thumbnails are compared in memory, and the app keeps a small index (file sizes, image fingerprints and the groups it found) in its own storage on the device. No photo, video, fingerprint or index is uploaded — the app has no server.
Photos and videos are deleted only when you confirm it in the app and again in Apple’s own dialog. Deleted items go to Photos › Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps them for 30 days. If you use iCloud Photos, a deletion also applies to your other devices, as Apple’s dialog says.
Compressed videos and converted Live Photos
When you compress a video or convert a Live Photo, the new file is created on your device, saved to your library with the original date and location, and the original goes to Recently Deleted after your confirmation. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Contacts
Only if you open the Contacts tool and allow access, the app reads your contacts on the device to find duplicates and empty cards. Before every merge or deletion it saves a vCard backup of all contacts in the app’s Documents folder, visible in the Files app. Contacts are never uploaded.
Calendar
Only if you open the Calendar tool and allow access, the app counts old events per calendar on the device and deletes the ones you select. Calendar data is never uploaded.
Purchases through Apple
Apple processes subscriptions and the lifetime purchase. The app uses Apple’s StoreKit to check which features are unlocked. We never receive your payment details; Apple handles them under its own privacy policy.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking
Clean Up Space contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and no tracking across apps or websites. We do not collect, sell or share personal information.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you send (message, screenshots, app version). We use it only to answer you and keep it only as long as needed. Please do not send passwords or payment details.
Your choices
You can change or revoke photo, contacts and calendar access at any time in iOS Settings › Clean Up Space. Deleting the app removes its local index and settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold — in practice only support emails — and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The app does not ask anyone to create an account or submit personal information. A parent or guardian should manage purchases for children.
Changes
If the app’s data practices change, we will update this page and the date above.
